Endorsements
At this time I only have two endorsements with one still pending. I am a
Yanagisawa Saxophone Artist and I wear Dragon Fly Clothing on stage.
That's it! Short and sweet.
G. Leblanc and Yanagisawa
I went to the NAMM show two years in a row and played every saxophone in the building. I was specifically looking for a new tenor because my MkVI was getting really old and wasn't holding an alignment very long, it was in the shop a lot. After trying them all, twice, I fell in love with the Yanagisawa 992 series saxophones (I actually fell in love the first time but I had to go back again to make sure). The Yani 992's are made of Bronze (body, bow, bell and neck w/ brass keys) this gives them a unique sound that really fits my playing. I played all the new horns again this year and I still like my Yani's the best. I bought my Yani Alto before I signed an endorsement deal. I beleived in the horns first, bought one, played it and then contacted G. Leblanc to see if we could work out a mutually beneficial arrangement. It's been great, the company has gone through many changes in the past year and is set to have a great year in 2003. I'll be out doing clinics so check back for those announcements.
Dragon Fly Clothing
I had been shopping for stage clothes and my wife Laura noticed that most of the shirts I liked were made by Dragon Fly. She suggested that I call the company and test the waters. I was happy to discover that the company is located right here in Southern California, they are in Corona near Riverside. I called the company and spoke to the owner, Edward Dada, we set up and appointment and I drove out to the factory. I received the full tour and made some new friends. They showed me their design studio and gave me a couple shirts. At this point I have over 40 Dragon Fly Shirts in my closet and my collection is still growing. They make shirts for all occasions and tastes. Check out their web-site from the "Friends" page.
